Much of Ray’s work is in wood. He is meticulous about capturing the details that give each fish its own personality. Fins and individual scales are painstakingly carved and painted to match the iridescent colors found on fish fresh out of the water. Each fish is mounted on a carved habitat resembling its natural environment.
